Nuggets: Sharing our History

A team of volunteers has found some treasures of history that we're sharing throughout this centennial year. Check them out here!

Auction! "All God's Children: The Cornerstone of Our Future"

Saturday, April 25, 3:00-6:00 pm

Please join us as we prepare for an exciting Auction, open to the public, to raise money for two amazing programs for children in our community: Camp Henry at Lake Logan, and Bound for Glory Camp. Plan to come and bring your friends!

Here's how to help:

Perhaps you have an amazing cabin in the mountains or house at the beach where you would like to donate a week’s stay. Or you know someone who would!

Perhaps you have original art, pottery, ceramics, or fine jewelry to donate?

Perhaps you or someone you know provides a service – anything from housekeeping to estate planning –  that could be donated?

Perhaps you’d like to help set up the silent auction the day before, or work at the auction that day?

50s Potluck Dinner and Family Game Night

February 6, 5:30-8:30 pm

Join us for a 50s Potluck Dinner & Family Game Night as we gather as a church family to recreate an old-fashioned 1950s evening of food, games, and fellowship for all ages.

Optional 1950s dress-up is encouraged, with prizes for best attire and game winners, and nursery care provided. Please sign up in Easel Alley (outside the parish office) with your name, number attending, and the 50s-style dish you will bring or e-mail office@stphilipsbrevardnc.org

(Bad weather plan: If Transylvania County Schools are canceled or released early, the potluck will be postponed to Friday, February 13.)

Dress for the 1950s Potluck (Optional): Join the fun by dressing either in typical 1950s attire or 1950s church dress. Family photographs will be taken, dress judged and gift basket prizes awarded as follows:

2 gift baskets for families with young children (ages birth to 12)

2 gift baskets for families with teens (ages 13-19)

2 gift baskets for “created families” (those with no children or teens). Create your own church family of 4 or 5.
