THE REV. ELIZABETH ROLES - RECTOR

The Rev. Elizabeth Roles is the 12th rector of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church.   She delights in the shared life of the church community in good times and hard times, playing, celebrating, making decisions together, serving, and sometimes facing conflict. And in this common life, together being transformed more and more into the likeness of Christ.  She holds a Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University and a Diploma in Anglican Studies from the General Theological Seminary. Previously she served in the Diocese of Arizona and the Diocese of Atlanta. Born and raised in West Virginia, she feels right at home in the mountains and on the rivers of Western North Carolina and loves sharing life with the people of St. Philip’s.

Adjunct Clergy and Pastoral Associates

St. Philip's is blessed with many clergy who have chosen to retire in the Brevard area. Several of them participate in Sunday worship as preachers and celebrants.  We have two Pastoral Associates who share in meeting the pastoral needs of the congregation through visits to hospitals and shut-ins, and conducting worship services in retirement communities.
