Thank you, St. Philip's!!!

Big hugs to everyone who volunteered to make the Summer 2026 El Centro/4H International Camp at St. Philip’s a massive success. And thanks to all parishioners for graciously opening our campus – the Rice Street Community Garden, the Contemplative Path, the best playground anywhere, the Gaga Pit, the entire downstairs YAC, kitchen, and classroom area.

Each day, the children “visited” a different country, learned about its geography, history, and culture, enjoyed speaking the language, prepared and tasted the cuisine, did native crafts, danced and sang traditional songs, played outside, laughed, and ate great food.

Special thanks to Dolores Brown and Angela Emerson who helped the children work in the garden, to Jan Bolena, Jan Sendzik, and Gordon Murray who devoted countless hours supervising and keeping everything running smoothly, to Jill and Abby for logistics and helping with glitches, and to Elizabeth for being Elizabeth - especially for being so open and welcoming to everyone.

One of the campers during final comments said, “I felt the kindness at this place when I came in the first day of camp.” Out of the mouth of babes!

Thank you, St. Philip’s, for your gracious and warm hospitality.
