CrossTown Update for February 25, 2026
This Sunday, March 1, CrossTown will meet at Good Shepherd from 5-6:45pm. During our meeting, we will participate in the Brevard Jewish Community's Purim celebration. Youth who would like to participate in a skit will practice at 5pm. At 5:30, we will all go into the service and participate as congregation members. After the service, we will share a meal of pizza, salad, and hamantaschen (a special Purim dessert).
Middle schoolers: We hope you can join us on Wednesday, March 4th for art club. We will meet at Good Shepherd from 3:30-5pm. All supplies are provided. You are encouraged to invite a friend. We hope to see you there!
Grown ups: On March 8, you are invited to join us from 4:30-7pm for a resiliency training for parents. During the first part of the evening, the youth who participated in the recent resiliency training will share some of the facts and techniques they learned. During the second part of the evening, a trainer will meet with you to discuss ways to support your youth during difficult times. We are working to offer childcare during the program so you can participate.
High schoolers: Mark your calendars for our next high school dinner on Tuesday, March 10 (please note the date change). We will meet at Pisgah Social (at the old Pisgah Fish Camp) at 6:30pm.
Spring break camp: We are excited to offer a free spring break camp for all K-5th graders this year. The camp will take place at Good Shepherd, March 16-20, from 8:30am-12pm. Each day will include a short Bible lesson, lots of games, and snacks. All middle and high school students are invited to serve as youth volunteers. If your middle or high schooler would like to participate, please note this on the registration form. If you are able to participate, please let us know by signing up here.
Middle and high schoolers: Please mark your calendars for our mini retreat and lock in, happening March 27-28th at St. Philip's (please note the location change). We will spend time together focused on spiritual growth and fellowship. Please let us know if you can come by registering here.
11-16 year olds: Do you like to babysit or hope to one day be a babysitter? You are invited to a babysitter and first aid training led by the Red Cross. The training will take place on April 11, from 9am - 5pm at FUMC. The cost is $60. Be sure to register and pay through through Ridgeline Beats Training (link in flyer) if you want to participate in the Babysitter training. For more information, please see the attached flyer or reach out to Sarah Grace with any questions.
Peace,
